Fun Weekend

Last weekend we headed to Sibley for a few days because Jon, Stef, and Sydney were going to be around.  We had a wonderful time with Paul's whole family and lots of laughs were had by all!

We were also able to meet up with our good friends, Kyle and Katie Van Arendonk who were in Sioux Center to begin their week long Ragbrai adventure.  It was so great to see them!

The 4th

We invited our family and neighbors over for a little celebration on the 4th.  We had a great time even though it was somewhere around 100 degrees.  Paul bought a lot of fireworks and put on a great show!  Ruby takes after both her parents and LOVED the fireworks.  She kept signing "more!"  We were also invited to a party at one of Paul's co-workers homes the weekend after the 4th.  Ruby had a ball at this party as well, making new friends and running all around.  Unfortunately, the fireworks weren't even half over and the cops put a stop to the remainder of the show because of a complaint from a neighbor.  Oops!  I guess we'll have to have a New Year's Eve party with the leftover fireworks!

A week after the 4th, Hattie's boyfriend, Brandon, came to visit from Portland.  They stayed with us for a couple nights and Ruby gained a new BFF.  :)
