Wisconsin Dells

During the last weekend in February, we took a three-day vacation to the Wisconsin Dells with Paul's family.  We stayed at The Wilderness, in two, two-bedroom suites complete with a kitchen and living space.  We had a wonderful time!  In fact, Ruby says if we lived in Wisconsin, we could go to The Dells whenever we wanted.  ;)

We spent the majority of our time at the waterparks, going from one to the next!  We don't have many pictures to prove it so apparently that meant we were busy having fun!

We brought all of our own food which worked out great.

We went on a horse-drawn carriage ride.
The whole family :)

Ruby was able to participate in a few extra activites during naptime for the younger two kids.
Painting pottery...

Sharing the final product

Bumper cars...I wonder who had more fun?!

...and her very first Ropes Course!  I only caught the last few minutes, but apparently she did awesome!

There was a great play structure for all the kids.

And a money-sucking arcade that of course they LOVED!  ;)

Uncle Joel knows how to play!

Annie started taking some of her first steps on vacation.

The five Van Heukelom grandkids ;)

Palmer Lee

My brother and his wife, welcomed Palmer Lee on January 25th!  He looks a lot like his big brother and is such a little sweetheart!   We were able to make a quick trip to Sioux Falls and Sibley to meet him the weekend after he was born.

Grandbaby #5...makes five under five!

Ruby loved holding her newest cousin.

Fresh snow made these three very happy!

We were also able to spend a little time with my grandparents which is always a blessing.

Jace's THIRD Birthday!

Jace turned 3 on February 9th!  He was so excited for his birthday!  He chose a dinosaur theme and loved his cake!

Jace's four grandparents were able to come help celebrate!

He got his first big bike for his birthday.

3!

On Jace's actual birthday, Paul had to fly to Dallas for a conference.  But first, we were able to take Daddy to the trampoline park for the first time!

After Paul flew out, we took Jace out to eat at the mall, complete with Whitey's ice cream!

This little boy can give us a run for our money at times, with his lack of patience and quick temper.  However, he can be such a polite sweetheart too.  Thank goodness!  ;)  When I tell Jace, "I love you," he almost always responds with, "I love you MORE."  His bedtime prayers are hilarious and sweet, and I hope I never forget this stage.

Jace, we love you to pieces and can't wait to watch you grow another year!  God loves you and remember to rely on Him for bravery and wisdom.  We are so honored to be your parents!  <3 p="">
