The First Snow

Ruby and Jace had been asking for several weeks when they could camp in the backyard again.  Since winter hadn't even officially begun yet, Paul decided they should just set up camp in the sunroom.  The kids, of course, thought this was a great idea!  They had a great night in the tent and woke up to the first snow of the season!

Something magical about the first snow.

They wanted to go out and play right away that morning but we held them off until after church.

Someone wasn't a big fan.

But all smiles in mom's arms.

Jace LOVES to play in the snow.  The next afternoon while Paul was working, Annie was sleeping, and Ruby was still at school, the two of us had some fun!  The snow was perfect for rolling snowballs so we made a snowman and a fort.  I'm not sure who had more fun!  ;)

I got a nice workout building the fort.  ;)

When Ruby got home, we woke up Annie and headed back outside.  Annie got a little braver.

But still happiest being held.  "Hold," is what she requests.

And now the snow is completely gone, except for a few small remains from the fort.  At least two of our kids can't wait for more!  Let it snow!
