In early June, my parents had planned to stay with us for the weekend to see Ruby in her dance recital. We didn't tell my parents, but we secretly made arrangements for Hattie to come that weekend as well! She flew in Thursday evening and my parents arrived Friday evening. They were pleasantly surprised to see their baby girl at our house! Ruby and Jace were in on the surprise and they had SO much fun surprising Grandpa Bill and Grandma LaDonn!
We took everyone to the new Children's Hospital, which will open in December of this year. Hattie is a pediatric oncology nurse and we think she'd be a great fit for Iowa City! ;)
We enjoyed the afternoon outside with popsicles...

We also introduced them to the Fossil Gorge!
Grandpa Bill made the trip a special one by catching the kids a crawdad and a frog to hold.
And then this pretty girl had her second annual dance recital! We cannot say enough good things about Nolte Dance Academy. They sure know how to put on a good show and it is so fun to see the talented and adorable little dancers! Ruby did a fantastic job!
It was such a fun weekend with my parents and my sister! Thanks so much for coming guys!
