Other June Activities

Early June brought Vacation Bible School!
We love our church friends!

We collected food for the Coraville Food Pantry.

I was able to help in the nursery for the week.  Luckily, I had some amazing helpers!

Ruby and Jace took swimming lessons through Kennedy Swim School.
They did great and learned a lot.

We had a couple of beach days at the Coraville Res.

Slumber Party with Sydney!

We hosted some of our good friends, Ryan and Leslie and their four kiddos, who were moving back to Minnesota from New Jersey.  Our mutual friends, Scott and Nicole and their three kids, also joined us for the day.  Such a fun day of busy play and catching up!

One full table...

...and one full couch ;) 10 under 6!

We went to Pella to help celebrate Papa John's birthday!  It was one of the hottest days of the summer, so it required popsicles and a water fight!

Uncle Joel and his girlfriend Amy came for a weekend!  We had SO much fun meeting Amy and wouldn't mind one bit if she stuck around for awhile... hint, hint ;)

June brought a lot of water play...

...and popsicles!

Playdate with neighbor friend, Esther

One of our favorite parks where everyone can swing together!

Tunnel slide selfie ;)

Ruby played T-ball again this summer.  She did a great job and by the end of the season was hitting off the pitcher instead of the tee.

Lots of chalk fun

Ruby and Jace met Dan Wardell from Iowa Public Television at the Iowa City Library.

Annie got her first black eye.  We had a minor stroller incident where she bumped the stroller tray. Poor thing.  It was my fault but she didn't realize that, so she still kinda likes me!  ;)  Thank goodness!

Ruby had her share of teeth issues.  Here she is getting a few cavaties filled.

She may hate this picture some day but I think she's still just so darn cute!  And she did get some major giggles when she looked in the mirror!  The teeth issues continued throughout the summer so more on that later...
