Ruby started Kindergarten on August 24th at Van Allen Elementary. The night before we were able to go to Open House night to visit her classroom and meet her teacher.
Ruby's teacher, Mrs. Halverson
Mrs. Halverson gave the students some fairy dust to put under their pillow to ensure a great nights sleep before the first day of Kindergarten!
Bright and early! School starts at 7:55 and Ruby has to get on the bus at 7:12.
The bus stop is about a five minute walk from our house.
One little brother who will miss his sister.
And there she goes!
We missed her all day long and were so happy to see this huge smiling face get off the bus!
Ruby had a great first few days of school! The newness definitely wore off and she had a few sad days... basically just because she misses us. ;) But overall, she enjoys school and does a great job being brave and trying her best!
Jace and I started out meeting her at the bus stop every day until she told us that she could probably walk home herself. One other boy that lives across the street was able to walk with her so we allowed her to be a big girl and walk home with him. Now that the weather has turned cold, our bus driver has added an additional stop to the route...right in front of our house! So wonderful!
